How To Pack Your International Traveller Luggage
Packing for travel for a long trip outside of your home country can be a daunting task and it really helps if you are able to be well organised and prepared. The entire process of gathering together all of your personal items that you are going to need for you trip can be stressful unless you give yourself the time to do it. You will also worry about missing and forgetting something so it is key that you make sure that you take your time and think of everything. Here are some tips on how to pack your international traveller luggage.
The first thing that you have to do before you actually start packing is to prepare. You should make sure that you get in touch with transport security and find out exactly what items you are allowed to take on the flight with you. You do not want to pack some things only to find out that they are not allowed on the plane.
You should then make sure that you create a clear area in your home where you will be able to set out all of your luggage. If you have a spare room this is probably the best place and will ensure that your things aren't getting muddled up and in the way. You should then make sure that you have written out a list of everything that you will need and begin to gather these together, ticking them off as you go.
When gathering your things you should separate your clothing with your toiletries. The first thing that you are going to have to consider is how much stuff you are going to want to take. This will come down to your personal habits and also how long you are going for and where you are going.
For example, many women will want to take more clothing than men. Also, if you are going to be going somewhere warm then you will be able to take more clothes that are small and skimpy than if you are fitting in a few big jumpers if you are off somewhere cold.
When you start packing your things you need to apportion a certain amount of space to the different sorts of clothing that you are taking as well as the toiletries. This will depend on the bag you are taking as well.
You need to ensure that all of your clothes are very neatly pressed and folded before you pack them together. You should put all the clothes that are similar together and use all of the available space that you can find. This means doing all of the usual tricks like squeezing socks into shoes and rolling up your underwear to fit in wherever you can.
You will need to keep all of your important items to hand as well in a separate carry on bad.
